Holding on tight

Not letting go

Denial

Suppressing a soul.

Raping the mind

Destroying the light

Madness is fine

So is fright or flight.

Hurry, hurry

Pull down the shades

Hurry, lock the door

Denial’s getting away.

Hold on tight

Don’t let it go

Deep in your bones

It’s your comfort zone.
