A Prayer of Hope
Today, I will take baby steps
And, hold my head high
With a prayer of hope for a smile.
Today, I will give myself a hug
And, accept that I am a human
With a prayer of hope for forgiveness.
Today, I will let go of yesterday
And, accept that I did my best
With a prayer of hope for joy.
Today, I will lift my head up
And, trust in my heavenly Lord
With a prayer of hope for renewal.
Is the first day of the rest of my life.

Each day is for a new beginning and reading this poem I finally realize how lucky I am to be able to take it day by day in life.

Deborah, My hope is renewed reading this forward-looking poetry. Indeed, you have been entrusted with much stress and responsibility. The God you believe in is able to carry you and your burdens. As Daniel's 3 friends said when they were about to be thrown into the blazing furnace: "the God we serve is able to save us from it, and He will rescue us..." Afterward, King Nebuchadnezzar admitted and decreed, "no other god can save in this way." It's plain to see that He is with you, lifting you up moment by moment.
Hugs & prayers,

Indeed it is. The past is done and dusted.
Reminds me of St Francis' poetic prayer.
