 A Daughter’s Love

Reminder from a cool breeze

Changing colors of the leaves.

A bluebird stops to visit

Flying south for the winter.

Reminder of a changing time

Your life was on the line.

I held your hand and prayed

Hoping for one last day.

Reminder of October nine

Fast approaching one more time.

Daddy, I miss you so

I wished you didn’t have to go.

Reminder of a daughter’s love

Missing your loving hugs.

Memories are all I have

Daddy, I’m still sad.
