A Dream

You’re just a flicker

A flash of light.

Face of memory

Then, out of sight.

A dream

Seconds of reality.

You’re speaking

Then, reaching.

Safety of slumber

Darkness of night.

Billows of down

Safety surrounds.

I want to touch

Feel your hand.

I’m afraid

Please understand.

You’re just a flicker

A flash of light.

Face of memory

Then, out of sight.

You capture well that ephemeral quality. Nicely done.
