Share Print Save Become a Fan All parents love, nurture, worry about, and gently guide their children in hopes of them being successful in life and in God's hands. I dedicate this poem to my son as he is entering college. Blessings to you Jonathan, my son.
From the moment I gazed upon your newborn face All I could see is your smile my son Pre-school through high school – now a graduate All I could see is your smile my son Watching you mature each year as your grew All I could see is your smile my son A newborn, toddler, youngster, teenager All I could see is your smile my son Taking in all life’s wonders and enjoying it with glee All I can see is your smile my son Like a mother hen freeing her chick to explore the world All I can see is your smile my son Enlightening you on family, decency, trust, love, respect, to be a man All I can see is your smile my son Praying for HIS grace as you grow into a gentleman God sees smiling faces of you and me my son © Sheila M.
