not in a place,
between lives
where we would have been before
leaving behind celestial space
causing eclipse when bodies touch
molded to create more than a vacuum
filled with anguish.
Meet me halfway
farther than imagination
when wishes were memories
and trust the breeze
lifting what could have been
into what is.
Meet me halfway
in patience
no questions asked
no forgiveness begged
time emptied
years away
irrevocable eclipse
remembered.

Wonderful. A language as precise as a surgical incision, fine, disciplined and to the point.

I find your verses worthy of much more than a single reading, Lynette. There is much to think about here. Thank you for sharing. Love and best wishes,
