The Hungered Silence of Goodbye
By: Bmartinez - 01/13/02
There’s an empty laughter
On that empty hall
Beckoning me to silence my thoughts
and its every nook, a dwelling fear
beseeching each tears to fall
There’s something on that air
That envelope the shivering cold
It was me and you
Trying hard to resist
What’s not there to perceive
Blissful memory penetrating my thoughts
As I pass each mornings hope
That night I hold you last
The finale curtain of our nights
Sends comforting glee
Every endless waiting
Every eternal wishing
Holds true for my love to endure
The thoughts of you leaving
There’s a hungered silence
Trying to tell me
I am losing you
As I quiet my nightmare
The quiescence of this night
Shared the same vision
You and Me on this empty hall
Leaves me addled and cold
Try as I may, I wont
Listen to that hungry silence
Of your leaving…
Lest I hear it from you
Footsteps….
Tears…
And that hungry silence
Of my love
Beckoning you not to confirm
That I am losing you
Leaving me and those memories
Built with fire on that cold night
Strengthened by the once feeling
You and I once knew…
I am walking with you
Despite your leaving!
