This poem is for all who have attempted, conquered or thought about tossing out the "cigs" or for those who have held the hand, smacked the hand or bit the hand of one who did. I wrote this one while quitting, myself. "Down with the cancer sticks"

There it is, that dreadful stick
Don't pick it up, it makes you sick
It takes control, your life just sold
From here on out, the power it holds
At first you think it's kind of cool
Years fly by, your such a fool
It's brown and white, yet rolled so tight
It almost always wins the fight
You bargain with the breath you take
I'll quit next year, a piece of cake
It's tougher than you've ever dreamed
You fight for life and may get reamed
The wrinkles you can live without
Your breath it smells, there is no doubt
Just don't wait till it's too late
Or you will visit heaven's gate
There it is, that dreadful stick
Don't pick it up, it makes you sick
