Scattered Thoughts

With life as a theme, this piece is set in a chain of haiku and senryu.

Before sleep as the body unhinges,
The mind creates a collage of scattered thought…

Through the bamboo shades
The sun spins shadowy lace
Upon her bare breasts

A lone peregrine
Flying with clouds and sun
On the lake’s surface

We watched an inchworm
Measure, then measure again
A shadowed oak leaf

Blending fire and ice
Snowflakes dust red maple leaves –
Morning reflections

Down an open road
Intimate discoveries –
The scent of cherries

Capturing a sigh
Two hearts hesitate, then beat –
Sea sounds, salty air

Today is now yesterday, setting in the west…the future rises with the sun

Such an inspiring write that caused this read to be standing in the middle of each well written verse...you paint a picture in all of them. I'd say this is some great work.

Richly imaged ... beautiful mood ... perfection. Each could stand out on its own, yet compliments the entire picture: well done.
