Those that are the least of us
Hold cardboard signs beseeching
Help from the oblivious
To their needy hands there reaching

Cast aside and derelict
Is compassion too much to expect?
In their struggle to survive
They can no longer grow and thrive

What lesson is this teaching?

In this life
To help each other
Should not cause strife
Or be a bother
