Reach As You Weep

Mind is power, it protects
its beliefs, hums with vitality and
expectant energies. A mind thrills to see
past its doorways and windows,
observing, tallying; acclimatizes,
and accommodates fresh information.
Singular minds have low-shrinking doors,
narrowed windows, producing breathlessness,
and safety from wide-open spaces.
A strong mind has a weighty voice,
an optimistic mind is cheerfully sunny.
A salacious mind expects every other
to see constant sexuals paraded
in prominent every day cunning array.
A compassionate mind weeps as it reaches,
the strength of embracing complexity
combines with a sense of morality,
anguish and joy, pain and exhilaration,
precariously balancing core’s equilibrium.
An angry mind is restless and vicious,
a happy mind is tumultuous with joy.
An indifferent mind overlooks
the bounty of studiously comparing
an oak with a squirrel dropping acorns up high.
An eager mind dwells in a tempest’s uproar,
absorbing reactions, accruing unwrittens,
sloughing off crust of salt-spoiled residue,
opening awareness to fierce lightning’s stroking,
self-soaring with thunderous applause.
Mind is fragile, it fumbles
its obsolescence, cradled inside
temerity’s functions. A mind cannot see
through oblique draperies
of shrouded misplaced information.
Circular minds have slow-draining egress,
narrowing pathways, producing sightlessness,
and safety from wide-open places.
