Almost Thirteen, Now

There she goes,
Meeting friend,
Almost thirteen now,
A youngest daughter.

There she goes,
One quick call,
Meeting friend,
Almost thirteen now,
Oldest daughter.

There she goes,
‘lifewards’ bound,
Meeting friend,
Perfumed-thirteen, now,
A baby daughter.

There she flees,
From you and me,
Meeting friends,
Performed-thirteen, now,
Our begot daughters.

It seems they grow up much faster with each passing child...I have four daughters, 31, 24, 18 and 4. The 31 year old, was Blessed with five daughters, 14, 12, 10, 4, and 1...So, I am surrounded by Big and Little girls on a daily basis...

It saddens me, because they ALL go through it...and when it happens, I cry...knowing I will never have the sweet innocence with her, ever again! Once something else becomes her center of attention, you become her back up...:(
But then, as she becomes a women, the relationship blossoms again...
Keep her busy and watch her like a hawk! :)

Love and Peace~

You pen truth and nostalgia in your daughter offering.
There is so much joyful regret in your lines, we
almost hurt in the reading. Daddies are aware, too.
Thank you for sharing a poignant momen,t times three.
