‘The entire planet is based,
Not on carbon, per se,
But, on energy consumption.’
My half-wild yard is a testament
To this, per my observations. Yes
A testament. A covenant,
A disposition of my personal property,
As custodian of a tiny patch of ground.
‘A planet, based on elements,
Whether watched or not,
Consumes energy.’
As soon as I leave my Eden-based yard,
It will be torn down, sterilized, pruned
For the next occupant of this copper mine
House. What once was a ‘testament’,
Will become oblique, past and unsorrowed.
‘Base, as a planet, is ridiculous!
Space is where it’s at! Consuming
Everything..’
I’m basing my guess that life is vampirism,
By observation. I’ve had cats for over
Forty-five yrs., not to mention life. A yard
Is a yard, they’ve always been reformed,
When I’ve come along. As new creator...
‘Wispily based, not really
A planet, once again,
I consume myself.’
