This Mother's Day, I would like to take the time to say thank you for your loving way.
Never judgemental, but you always spoke the truth, helped to groom and nurture this young Black Youth.
there is no substitute, there is no othere that could step in and be there for me the way you have Mother.
Your loving touch and encouraging words, even when I feel alone your tender voice can be heard.
From the scrapes and scratches as a child to the the bumps and bruises as an adult, you always had the power to make things all good.
You've always been that loving mother, the way all mothers should be.
Told me I could be a writer when others thought something else would make my life brighter. When something weighed heavy on my mind you made it seem lighter. When felt like I wanted to quit, you reminded me I had to be a fighter.
So this Mothers Day I'm taking the time to say thank you for your loving way.
