Wounded soldier don't you dare turn off that lamp.
Right now things aren't how you wanted them, but don't you even think about folding camp.
Walking through the wars of life, you gonna experience stress and strife. If you ain't got him, you better have him in your Life.
When those time of war gets hard you aren't by yourself, the Lord got your back.
Right now things are hard and a little off-track, but don't let these times get you down. The trials of war will push you to the limit and there are days when you want to end it. But don't quit and don't succomb to it.
Curveballs and pitfalls will litter your road, but that is when you really need to take hold.
I know it ain't easy right now but don't you blink even bat a brow. You got love waitin on you outside, folks to help restore your pride.
So Soldier, I know you are wounded you see, but danm it, don't you dare give up on me.

this poem is really tight. Even though you may be referring to a male, it is encouraging to me.
