There are no ever-afters; love never beats the odds, there is no magic wishing well or blessing from the gods. There are no hopeful cupids and no angels there who guide, when love and life come face to face, no heart will win the fight. There's nothing to fall back on- are empty words enough? The road to fail is tempting when the path to love is rough. And yet I catch a glimmer, in your dazzled, honest eyes, that says it doesn't matter; we're just in it for the ride.
