Maybe Tomorrow

Dawn, the awakening. Time to reflect, time to act, time to fight. May they liberate and come home safe.

Image is one of mine, the cover form my book Puzzling Thoughts, written during the Afghanistan War.

Maybe tomorrow.

Flamingo hue in sapphire drape
Peering over granite
Stealing onto a darkened plain
Shadows that held demons
Now hold hope.
Banished fears replaced by dreams
Fluid bitumen becoming silver
Afro heads turned emerald
Embraced by Alchemist gold
Birdsong plays the breeze
And optimism, once again, stirs.
Tireless wings of a hopeful dove
Beat with the message of peace
Maybe tomorrow.
