it was easy to blame you
but i'm to blame to
really its all my fault
bcuz i fought
when if i'd only listened
while she stood right in front of me
i wouldn't have been cut so dayum deep
signs were always there
but i had to be fair
cant blame u for that
that one
right there
thats my bad
see instead of trustin reality
i dug into expectations
they were free
reality would cost me
more than i was willing to bleed
but now i see
that was a cost i'd have to pay
regardless of the day
so as the pain
pours out of my veins
leavin red stains
everywhere i step
i want to say
i know its not your fault
you were just being you
the you you've always been
the you you'll always be
the you i tried to teach
with my expectations filling your textbooks
and my disappointments blackening the chalkboard
forcing you to sit in a desk that didn't fit you
in a classroom you didn't belong to
as i laugh the pimp laugh
and bad
i hold back all my own bullshyt
all that garbage that a glad bag won't fit
on this one my bullshyt radar
is sounding off loud
bcuz im not only kiddin you
but kidding myself
if i try to act as if
i'm not getting weak
from this excessive bleed
reality has nicked me
and cut me before
but never have i seen
this much blood cover the floor
my heart can't keep up
not enough blood to pump
but this is not your problem
not anymore
so i can only hope you fly
high into greatness you soar
i'll be alright
bcuz i'll never forfeit this fight
i have way to much to live for
only time will heal my wounds
and my scars will fade
but for now
does anyone have a band-aide?
