my heart feels heavy for those who do not love for those who cannot love
to never know the joys of love the peace love brings the completeness felt
oh how heavy it feels with the knowledge of those who will never feel
the joys of love that could never be shared

my heart weeps for those who know not where to look who feel so lost
i shared their plight once a time now gone i have my world but i weep for them
knowing their suffrage how they beg how they cry the emptiness felt
the joys of love that could never be shared

how i wish i could ease their pains show them the way to a heart felt bliss
show them hope give them comfort let them know that somewhere it waits
crying when they give up live their lives in solitude afraid to open the door
the joys of love that could never be shared

oh how i weep for their lonely lives thankful for my escape to another life
wishing i could share my world knowing i really cant being rebuffed
as they wilt away grieving for something they will never feel
the joys of love that could never be shared

Well written piece. I'd prefer steak and chips though, ha ha.

Best, Gerry
