I walk among the falling leaves
Burnt sienna, amber, maroon.
Oblivious to natures lament;
My selfish life is all I see.
And the fairies dance on.
The chill nips at my bodies new skin,
The moon shines before me tonight.
One last drag, a puff of smoke rises through the trees,
My eyes bleed out light.
And the fairies dance on.
I stop to rest by the river bank,
Expose the answer to life,
One last pull in time,
Finally free from nobody.
And the fairies dance on.
