Written for my grandson, who just turned one! Love this little boy so much!

Funny, isn’t it:

A day full of problems
urgent situations,
stress overload.

My head aches
my feet hurt
and I have forgotten
how to smile.

He arrives.
Pudgy little boy who
nestles into my heart;

curly head
against my shoulder,
kisses on my cheek.

And it suddenly
all comes back to me.

I smile.

It's amazing how a hug and a kiss from a little one can make a day look a lot brighter. Nice. Thanks. That trust is priceless.

This is a sweet write Leysa and so true as no matter how down I am, or how sick, or angry with the world when I hear my granddaughters voice on the phone with her little giggles or she comes for visit with her mom...the sun always breaks through the clouds. Good to see you up on the board kiddo...missed ya.
