No Shame

You wander around in discontent,
With a heart that’s spent and turbulent
You know who you are; you know your name
There’s no hope left in a world without shame.

You drift about from belief to belief,
With a soul that’s immune to this world full of grief
You know who you are, and it’s all the same
There is no hope left in a world without shame.

You can harden your heart to it, what will that do?
Will it bring a new mental image to you?
You know the impact, this is no game
There is no hope in a world without shame.

You can lighten sin up with a movie or song
If enough people do it, is it no longer wrong?
You know why they do it; there’s no fear of blame
Can there be any hope for a world without shame?

You say all that matters is what makes you feel good
Yet it never lasts the way that it should,
You know what it takes to put out the flame
To give back some hope to a world without shame.

Beth

Beth, Hi
"If enough people do it, it's no longer wrong." Bravo! We must return to teaching our youth the critical importance in maintaining integrity in boundaries. Vicky
