I'LL NEVER BE THAT DRUNK AGAIN song lyrics
by Joel Sattler

there was a day I took her hand
and said I wanna be your man
dancing in a spinning room
my head was filled with her perfume

her kiss was toxic poison touch
but I wanted it so much
and when I held her oh so tight
the world of day turned into night

she was a liquor oh so bitter
all I wanted was to give her
every inch of all my soul
until my heart outta control

I never felt that way before
I been in love but this was more
but now is now and that was then
I know I'll never be that drunk again

I'll never be that drunk again
I'll never be that drunk again
although I never tell them when
and drink from ten to one to ten
I'll never be that drunk again

when morning came and she was gone
I've looked for her in every song
tried to forget her Lord I tried
but nothing seems to satisfy

I crawl the bars till nearly dawn
New York to Frisco on and on
in fact I've been around the world
but I can't seem to find a girl

who makes me stink like that one did
who makes me that inebriated
I could get wasted nothing else
till I'm a danger to myself

I could get crazy scream and shout
I could get blasted till I pass out
and go too far around the bend
but I guess I'll never be that drunk again

I'll never be that drunk again
I'll never be that drunk again
although I never tell them when
and drink from ten to one to ten
I'll never be that drunk again

but I know no matter how I curse
no matter how I quench my thirst
until the day my life has end
I'll never never never never
be that drunk again

This one doesn't have a genre except tragic. Could be a classic.
