LEAVIN TOWN song lyrics by Joel Sattler

Blew in here

on my feet

walked right in

off the street

bounced all o-

ver the West

looking for

empty nest

if I can't

settle down

you'll find me

leavin town

Asked a girl

at the bar

wanna roll

very far

made me feel

such a clown

you aint not

but a hound

catch a rabbit

or you can drown

guess I ought

to leave town

might as well

be underground

I need love

to be found

she said man

there you are

got no dough

got no car

she just laughed

without sound

point the way

outta town

Got a job

just today

but you got

pay for play

turned me round

round and round

wish I was

homeward bound

but instead

falling down

the next step

leavin town

Got no home

no lucky star

all I gots

my guitar

got no chance

no romance

gotta try

make a stance

if I can’t

get a sound

might as well

be leavin town

Sad but compelling, lyrics that seem to flow very well as they express emotions, Joel. Thanks for sharing. Love and peace,

Regis
