Oh, Carmen. I don't know what to say. That you should honor me in this way is. . .I don't know what to say! T h a n k . y o u . from the bottom of my heart. Given enough time and luck, I am going to be a better poet because of you. This poem alone! I hope you are entering it into competition, because it is bound to run away with top honors. Was a jewel to start, and you somehow managed to give it subtle new facets that add to its dazzle. Not only do you write like an angel, you get down in the pit and chip and carve and plane
