I walked the halls of yesteryear;
it brought forth smile and tear.
Teachers, friends, and foes--all three
helped to form the me I be.
I've laughed, and cried, and learned to count
to ten when all else failed, by plan.
Growing pains are never fun,
but if not endured--no lesson's learned.
Crossroads are but opportunities disguised.
Consider each with care--be wise.
For where we walk today will be
the road next traveled by you and me.
The thrill of expectant adulthood lies in the past.
Remembered virtue, honor, class.
Reflecting, are you satisfied, when asked?
For what we plant today, will grow at last.
