“A Story Or Two”

Let me tell you a story or two

Whether it’s true or whether it’s not

It still tickles my mind a lot

How much does it take to make you smile?

Or even let your hair down in style?

How much money do you need to survive?

Or even to support strife

Come sit next to me for a little while

Keep your mouth shut

And be my friend and smile

What difference does it make

If we even shed a tear

As long as we know

We did not shed our gear

Or stabbed each others heart with a spear

Let me tell you a story or two

Within my heart and within my verse

I know I love you

Whether you think it’s true or not

I am like a forget-me-not

When I cry and shed some snot

You still tickles me a bloody lot

Whether sometimes my words to you rot

And you think I am this silly sot

Who loves “LOVE” a lot…

So please just bloody smile

Even though for just a little while

Well written. Did Ed Matlack write the second half of this poem? I know smiling can never hurt you.

heheheeh...that picture is kinda the way I look in the mornings before I have had my very necessary cuppa coffee...
I liked this work, has a simple yet straight foreward rhythm and the message is grand.
