The CHRISTmas Tree

I have a Christmas tree you see,

It stands so fine and tall.

It sparkles and glows it seems to me,

I can hear my Saviors call.

I take no stock in pagan talk,

I see only Christ within the tree.

The secrets of Christmas He does unlock,

And radiates Holy truths to me.

As I look and see the ever green tree,

It tells me He offers eternal life.

It is a gift like Christmas, a gift that’s free,

And tells me of victory over all this strife.

The ornament of gold so I am told,

Reflects that of a king’s golden crown.

As a Solomon’s wisdom that will unfold,

The power of a kingly Christ will be renown.

The ornaments of silver upon the tree I see,

Tells me of a price that has been paid.

It’s not a Judas betrayal that sets me free,

But the price at the Father’s feet, Christ laid.

Ribbons of red reminds me of what He shed,

So I can wear a white spotless robe.

When death over takes me, no fear or dread,

As I ascend from this unrighteous globe.

The tree’s glorious light a brilliant sight,

Tells me who is the true light of the earth.

He shines in our heart and leads us to right,

And justifies us with a new birth.

The star on top and those that came so far,

To see a kingly baby in a manger’s crib.

A mother’s face lit up by the glimmering star,

And all this started with Adam’s rib.

So you see as for the tree,

Its power reflects the Holy One.

Bright and colorful it shows to me,

The love of God thru His only Son.
