My Friends At A D, here I am introducing, my 11 year old Grandson
Curtis E Bonilla
who has amazed me
with this piece and his thoughts,
he loves writing poetry at school.
you can read his other work at "Just 4"

4:00Am, I'm still waiting
I have
A hundred pounds on my head
Throwing up here and there
Butterflies are going wild
Inside my stomach.

Did I do The right thing
By making my wife pregnant
Well she's 22
Maybe she can handle it
Or maybe I can't handle it.

I pray, I pray
But God still does not
Answer my prayers
I feel like I got stabbed.

Poison is eating me up
Piece By piece
The doctor came out
Mister, will you follow me?
Your wife want you.

I saw her trying to smile
She had so much pain
she was unable to smile
Nor speak.

I kissed her on her forehead
I heard the crying of a baby
It was a boy.

We were so happy
That we lasted through the storm
Of waiting,
witnin a dream.

I think when I was 11 I didn't much more than know what pregnancy was, much less extrapolate a fine work like this. Kudos to Curtis.
