Gabrielle and Brianna
Niether one is a banana
They were born
But a minute apart.

Through a nursery pane
They broke my heart
It was love at first sight
Lovely as a piece of art.

As night and day
I love them both
Just the same.

They're curious
As they watch me scribe
At eight years old
I allow the to read
Some of my writes.

I'm at awe, as they imulate
without guide
They too wish to write
About anything they feel
Is right.

Pick up a pen and scribble
they recite silly little riddles
into line, verses
Rhythm and rhymes.

What a great mentor you are William. Simply lovely tribute to your grandaughters. A joy to read on a quick dip into your den. Go Grandpa! Love Panda :)

Beautiful girls, and a beautiful write my friend...yes, encourage them to write and express themselves. As a teacher I find that not enough parents care enough about their children's writing skills and do not enforce, or encourage them at all. Too many parents today allow games to dominate their children with too little reading and writing...Great job my friend, maybe you can post a family poem with the trio as the authors...enjoyed!
