| Exercise is good for you and early morning is a time to be just glad you are alive and going outside wakes you up. I don't walk no more, cause legs and back hurt too much, but used to go out and around my rose garden years ago first thing when I woke up. It was a joyous time for reflections about what my day was going to be. |

I like your metaphors in this poem and how you expressed the "plight" of those who need a newspaper in the "reading room."

| Boy William, you just described my mornings! I am out walking my oldest Rottie at 4:50 every morning. It amazes me everyday the sights and daily rituals of nature. My favorite time of day! Great piece. |

What a character you are my friend! Enjoyed this greatly, I don't think I would have put the two together, but you are right! Loved this clever and well written poem, I too love morning walks, can't wait summer break when time is not as much of an essence and I can again resume my morning walks around the farm! Next time I see Boomer my little terrior performing her morning ritual I will think of this wonderful write! Always a pleasure to stop by and read your work my friend!
Blessings,

When we see a Golden Retriever puppy on TV my wife goes all maternal.
I don't know, as a ex owner of dogs, who has the most pleasure of those morning's walks, my self or the dog.
Thank you very much for sharing.
