A Star Above, Shadows Below

I sit at awe

Staring at a sparkling

Diamond

Glittering brilliantly

Within the gloriousness

Of a clear gray

Pre-dawn sky

Of the eastern heavens.

She was the only

Shimmering entity

Within the whole universe

Before me.

I spied upon her

With field glasses

Where a focus

Bear a digital image.

A center

Which seems to point

In the directions

Of the four corners of the

World

North, South, East and West.

I lower the binoculars

To see before me

Against the graying sky

Dark silhouettes

Of tall Cypress trees

Deeply rooted

In the surrounding swamps.

Shadows laden

With the cancerous

Spreading Spanish moss

Draining the life

From trees possessed

A beautiful sight

A rare privilege

To behold.

Witnessing

The unfolding scene

Of the rising sun

Of another glorious day.

What was I doing

Sitting outside

So early in the morning?

I couldn’t sleep

For my thoughts

Were only of you.

William:

Surrounding me with indigo brilliance,
your energy seeps into my mind
illuminating those empty places
that only your love can penetrate.
Seemingly, innocent that light
transports me to your door
embracing your heart with mine
and kissing your waiting lips.
Only time is our enemy,
and amongst the stardust
those specs of iridescent love
scatter all over our bodies
to bring joy and love
back into our empty hearts.
Come bathe in the iridescent stardust
swim into the sea of love
rendering all resistance helpless
within our ever loving embrace.
Send me not home, for my journey has been overdue,
love me this stardust night,
and hold precious this memory for the rest of your life.

An automatic response to this beautiful poem you have written...
Much peace, love, and light,
Amber "V"
