You are and always will be

The only true Goddess

That dwells within me

Residing eternally

In a broken heart

that’s never mended

Was

Discarded recklessly

By one

Once in love.

~*~

Our love was once as pure

As they say

The driven snow,

You Loved me

I loved you more

For I am

The one in deep pain

Hurting like a forest

Soaked in acid rain.

~*~

I see your smile

Still brightens true love’s

Way

Within sapphire eyes I can see

My reflection

You possess deep in your soul

As I possess your.

~*~

I crave to hear those soft

Whispers

Of I love you

I’ve heard not in years.

~*~

Silence deafens me

As I listen

To an empty phone

Where no one

On the other side whispers

Anymore.

~*~

this is truly melting, William. Such a painful scenario you paint here, such tender desperation and despair in the voice. Hopefully the Goddess will turn to liquid fire on receipt of your prayers at her altar! What pure joy to be so much loved. :)) xx
