****Art Drawn By My Beautiful Granddaughter "Gabbie"****

Our Dawn Of Love

*****

She was ten, twelve was I

We were young her and I

With stars gleaming

In our eyes

At our dawn of love

Two youngsters in puppy love

Her name exit her lovely lips

Like a sweet melody

Leaving me at awe

Making my heart flutter

I can still taste that first

Tender kiss

Coated with spearmint

Between the cracking of bubbles

With her gum

My body felt strange

Something was happing

New, great, innocent and sweet.

Staring at each other

Searching for answers

Of this wonderful event

A beautiful face was flushed

A softness of red

Expression of sereneness

Glowed within her face

We closed our eyes

Tried that wonderful kiss

One more time.

Discovering something new

While young hearts fluttered

Song birds,

Tiny Cupids and painted hearts

Danced circles around our heads.

A moment unperceived

Arrived

Bearing with it

A new experience

Two young broken lover’s hearts

Centering deep in our souls

It hurt.

This Strange pain also called love

We didn’t understand

What destiny

Had just placed between us

We never saw each other again.

A thousand miles parted

Two cities

One windy the other never sleeps

Left broken hearts behind

Fate stole her away from me

Still she dwells within my thoughts

I Remember then

Searching darken heavens

For a star in a million

To make a wish upon

As they lit the night skies

We were young, both shy

She was fourteen, Sixteen was I

Some Fifty years ago.

Like any fisherman with a rod will tell, "the one that got away", as memory takes you back those forgotten paths when love was new and innocent. Great write, Musketeer!
Although, sixty years ago it was sin to think about girls then. :-)

William, sometimes we need painful love to recognize healthy love, love that is stronger than the steel on bridges, love that nothing can penetrate to withstand the tests of time. You have that in your wonderful Norma, always know that you are the lucky one...
Much peace, love, and light,
Amber "V"

when our soul has been touched and an epiphany, an awakening, a revelation seed has been sown, it's light burns bright within us forever and we never lose it's vital spark. However, we may travel throughout our onward lives in search of its original flame. Tender and beautifully conjured, William. xx
