Open Up To Him

~*~

I soaked the pain

In my body as I showered

Today

Allowing hot water to slowly cascade

Where my aches reside.

I thought of all the songs

Sonnets and poems

I’ve written of you, of her

Of all the beautiful Women

Whom are the inspiration

Of my vision.

Then I realized

Today I was able to move

My arms

More then I’ve been doing

Prior to my praying with tears

Of pain

In the darkness of my lonely room.

In the darkness of despair

I thought I was beyond help

This proved

The power of prayer

Is there

For He is answering them

As he see my one tear at a time.

I closed my eyes humbly

Confessing

I’ve never been to the mountain top

I’ve never sang praising hymns

Nor gathered

Down By the river side

I’ve never laid down my sword and shield

To study war no more.

I’ve prayed

For Him so see past the wall

That surrounds me

Incarcerating my soul

Take way these webs

Blocking my sight

As I was blind, now I can see

When I was lost

I’ve been found.

I now want to Pray

To Him

In the name of His Son

Jesus Christ

So I too

Might one day

Climb that mountain

To witness He who resides

On it’s Top.

I want to lay down

My sword and shield

Down by the river side

And study war no more

Where we may gather

By that river

So I my learn so recite for Him

My poetic praises

Write for Him my sonnets

And sing for Him

Worthy Hymns.

This statement of truth brings tears to my eyes. It sounds like you and I could have been roommates, for I, too, have had the same feelings. I will add my prayers to yours that His healing will sustain you always.

On a personal note - I think that once we can say what is on our heart, He hears and provides us comfort - if we will but listen and embrace.

God bless you. Kathy

Very glad to see that you are able to pen a few lines, William.
So sorry to learn of your difficulties. I've been riding the wave
of recovery with my dear Harbhajan who had a stroke in August; it was the power of prayer and the love of family and friends that
pulled us through those 38 days in hospital... Gratefully, he is making a remarkable comeback.
I shall gladly include you in my daily meditations, William. You've
given so much to us here at AuthorsDen and we want you to continue to do so! Be strong, reach out, and please don't isolate yourself.
With heartfelt best wishes for a speedy recovery,
Carolyn

When faced withg our own mortality we are humbled if we are astute. Me and my ordeal faced this abyss and lived to respect being humbled and to pray more for others' as you do Bill. I've truly missed reading your poetry . I will catch up.
Thank you for this poem. Each of us should be humbled. It's like seeing ourselves for the first time.
God bless you!

William, dear man,
I have been praying for your pain to go away too! I have been sending you healing waves of energy, I am so glad to hear that you are doing just an ounce better...You must have faith, you must tell yourself that you are going to be better, you must walk that mile toward health. Please for me, for Norma, for all of your dear friends that care so much for you. I know how much pain you have been having, I have felt some of it, I take away your pain, I send you my healing vibrations please take them and be well...
Lovely poem out of a painful existence...You did good.. Now take that flight and come to Sweden and dance with Nyx, the Goddess of the Night, so that Georg and LaBelle can see just how great you and I are doing!!!
