The night was cold,
The moon, was half and bright,
All the children, were sleeping,
This is Christmas Night.

The tots, were at their best today,
Knowing Santa, is on his way,
On this special night,
They bathe, without a fight.

Hoping Santa, won't forget them,
They ate, their vegetables,
Without being told,
Even licked, their pudding bowl.

Charging into bed, with gentle smile,
The drift, into heavenly sleep,
To the tune, of soft carols,
And thinking of Saint Nick.

Proud were Mommy and Daddy,
As the tots were tucked in,
Kissing them good night,
Keeping an extra eye, on the twins.

The twins, will be the first,
Searching under the tree,
Before running with a burst,
To wake, little sister indeed..

As they play, with their toys,
Wonder they did, of last night,
Did they hear reindeer hooves?
Or jingle bells, on the roof.
