Camping in the Skagit Valley, British Columbia.

Majesty rises above, sitting
regally under hot sun of day.
Mother Nature’s breath blows
through the valley around me,
filled with the aromatic scents
of the earth and the new life of summer.
Hold me sweet Mother to your breast,
heal the wounds that time has placed
within my soul;
Renew me ~ make me whole.
For I hold unto you the reverence
due one of such strength and power.
Roots reaching as deep as branches
rise into the blueness of His sky.
Peace lives here, sounds of
the wilderness soothe me,
while the breezes of June cleanse
away the wrinkles of time.
Oh, to be mine, Dear Mother, to become
a part of and one with your
great and wondrous earth;
A virgin birth of freshness, alive
with the sounds of new life.
Rock me in the arms of your lore;
an open door into the mysteries
of this great and vast universe.
Lady Bird graces me with her song;
more beautiful, more comforting
than any piece ever created by mortal hand.
Magical ~ echoing through the forest
as her glorious music rests within my mind.
Here remains no time;
no place ~ just space,
free and eternal, filled with love
in the deepest recesses of my heart.
There is no dark ~ only the bright
and glorious ray of Skagit’s splendor.
Blessed be unto all this night…
just let your soul surrender.

Ah yes, Deborah. I've camped there as well but it was in August and a long time ago. Nevertheless I recall the scents, the stillness, the encompassing beauty of it all. Nicely done. Love and peace to you,
