The stars and planets and all that is Obey the same laws without exception Are we truly free then to do as we will And what is will, what's intention? Is it real or only illusion? Am I irrevocably fated to write this line? And now I have written it I can't call it back It is now a possession of time Perhaps I am free. Perhaps I have will But would that mean that everything does? Could the sun choose to shine? Could the earth choose to spin, And continue based on what was? Could the sun refuse to shine, The earth refuse to turn? I believe that I choose to ask these questions of mine Their answers I may never learn in this life

Free will ... yet, there are cycles that come and go. Change of seasons, the rise and fall of the Sun and Moon. Each breath, a reflex ... the blink of an eye, the same. Preprogramed it would seem yet when it comes to the soul, so complex! Can one control the tides, no ... only the Moon can do that it seems. Of course, then there is Fate and Destiny. Are the paths we travel already there, with no side trails to follow? Or do all paths lead to the same point far off in the future ... Yet, what mysteries would life hold if we found all the answers? A very provocative write Adam, much food for thought here. Cheers Lorrha
