What better freedom is there than this? I will never forget!

by Stephanie S. Sawyer

Freedom is the joy of flight
Freedom is the thrill of movement;
To not be held back,
To make oneís own choice,
To choose oneís own path,
To set oneís own limits.
Ahhh, freedom! freedom! freedom!

Remembrance still on my soul,
I tenderly handed my keys
To pulsing brown eyes
Dancing before me;
My son, now a man
Lusting that freedom
Yes, freedom! freedom! freedom!

My blue bullet sat silent before us
Begging for freedom and flight
My son, with my genes,
Was no meager soul,
Passion was dripping,
Calling his name.
Freedom! Aaron! Freedom!

He begged to discover that soaring,
The movement that pulses with choice.
No side streets for us,
No gentle excursions,
Give me the Loop!
Over the Channel!
Freedom! Freedom! Freedom!

Who takes on Houston on Sunday
Without that pure lusting unquenched?
To ready my son
I gave him my flight,
The thrill of a choice;
DPS, here he comes!
Freedom! Freedom! Freedom!

Rings true. There is no freedom like a set of wheels. Until the siren and lights curtail your cool.
