Sometimes I know, a little bit of Dija-Vu...

I have stood here before...
On the shores of this river...
This bay...
This ocean?
I have dipped my toes in this water...
The lapping wet of the Tigris?
Or the wavelets of the Amazon?
I have breathed in this brackish air,
Which stimulates my memory,
Which catches like a snare,
In my mind's repository.
I know this place...
It was different then, of course...
Wilder and more free...
As was I back then, as I recall...

I know this place...
This shore...
Each and every grain of sand...
Each lapping wave...
I have been here before...

I think it may have been with you...
Though you do not remember.
When you and I were forever...
Before the world moved on...
And left us and our magic behind!

You do not recall...
I see it in your eyes...
We loved...
As if the world would never end...
And yet it did...
And left us behind...
Phantoms in the mists of time...

What a lovely picture, both in context of the photo.
