Can we ever truly find True Love?
I heard you speak,
Soft wind chime tones of angelic tune,
That made my heart weak,
And gave visions of the Summer moon.
Long ago, when I was young,
Then did I hear your voice,
And the siren's song that was sung,
In my mind no choice.
But now only dusty memory to be,
These soft sounds that held me fast,
And in a heart that now sings free,
No spell that could long last.
Would cupid in his foolish play,
To send to me his arrow sharp,
But now long past that fateful day,
When played he on his harp.
I am grown old and weary,
Memories now shadows gone,
And visions only teary,
Of those dreams that fawn.
But once a voice,
Like Angel's singing,
Took hold my choice,
And sent dreams winging.

|Can we ever truly find True Love? This is a very good question, Jim. I'm not sure that we can in this life/dimension. I know I have given a piece of my soul to many maidens and sometimes, I feel a little weakened. Still, I never give up. I guess I am a romantic fool. Your verses "speak" to my soul. Thank you, friend. Love and peace,
