Wishful Thinking

Beyond dreams of yesterday comes a past of mine
It opens my heart to visit my soul at times
These moments to remember are keepsakes of love
The wind echoes in my whispers from up above

When the clouds cover the sky there's a reason to smile
A dear old love may fade on a rainy day
A fear that covers these thoughts a million miles away
Wanting you near me is wishful thinking in my ways

There's no way to step back in time to see your face
We had togetherness that had memories in place
To walk the shores of the ocean and found our romance
Our destiny took us away into a loving trance

To lean on your shoulders you was there for me
Our love drowned into each other where it stayed
Sometimes love is blind and free as the breeze to feel
Yesterday is gone but the new life I live is so real

Some of us we lucky to know a love like that at one time in our lives, beautifully said Johanna...
