In these dark days of the lonesome cold
Nightly moon sets still as love was stolen
Cries heard my heart to be mended in time
Arms help me to shelter fences of my soul

The storm of life holds no freedom within
With hopes and promises to be redeemed
We reach our faults beyond blowing wind
Along the pathway there's a tear it will shed

Years fade away broken fences do not mend
Each season makes changes as God intends
The Heavenly stars shine in our nightly light
Life signs as peace be still, rest with His love

There's His spirit in life that awakens anew
The journey belongs to us memories behind
Let the doors open and hear the angels sing
Upon this Earth we pass thru His gates of few

Dedicated to Autumn Rose who lost her husband,
