Farewell Summer Days

Farewell to long, hot summer days,
Youíve presented yourself in many ways.

With flowers of color and any size,
A rose, of course, which won a prize.

With bugs and wasps and even bees,
Bet Iíll stay away from those trees.

With all that rapidly growing grass,
Cutting it all was really a task.

With sweat and dirt and all that dust,
Going to the beach was sure a must.

With showers and frogs; Oh how they croaked!
I forgot my umbrella ; now Iím soaked.

So, farewell to you hot summer days,
Fall is arriving; what do you say?

Ah, for those summer days!

Another one of those "grass is always greener" thoughts? Or "the good ol' days"?
Either way - very good.
