I need a good laugh,
fixed in stone a smile.
Down in the heart,
joy that won't depart.
A sun that never ends,
a paradise of fun friends.

Give me funny,
the rest of my days sunny.
Bring in the clowns,
out with the downs.
Never turn out the light,
even in the dark of night.

Bring me sweet music playing,
drown out a life decaying.
As the abyss gets nearer,
give me all that's dearer.
Give me the rest of my days,
joyous in all ways.

Bring in the clowns,
out with the downs.

Now you are talking my language, my friend! A world without clowns would truly be a sorry place to live.
