Can't be nice all the time, or can we?

I love being kind and nice,
sweet and loving,
but I need to break the ice.
Lifes not all sugar and spice,
in the wedding they throw rice.
Afterwards it's guns or bricks,
and all other type tricks.

I love to tcb also,
taking care of business you know.
Hey the heck with business,
you as my witness.
The sun is bright and shining,
and my smile is grinning.

Anyway my ice is thin,
I'll break it again.
It's easy for me to break ice,
wish I could say the same about nice.
Being nice is like placing
a target on your back,
every unappreciating fool will attack.

Then when you get to slapping,
they get to crapping.
Start acting all funny,
eyes get all runny,
then you're a bad old person,
and your nice life will worsen.

Cause you don't take the crap no more.

I remember a line from "Bambi" - if you can't say anything nice ... don't say nuthin' at all. Truth! But there are times I have to bite my tongue slap off - or say, "There, but for the Grace of God, go I." LOL Excellent write - well done.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
