Twist and shout, let it all hang out, or be more refined, and a little less defined. |

Before newspapers
before tv and camera capers
The town crier
shouted out the news
As poets we town cry
versing is the reason why
We tell it on ourselves
let others in on
some of our personal lives
might even spill the beans
on our husbands or wives
It depends on how we write
verse to excite
poetically fuss or fight
Even whether we're
wrong or right
Our verse takes flight

Words that fly. We make rhyme out of thoughts that fleet past.
