Red, yellow, black and white,
we were all created by God's might,
different colors in his light.

And if we're in his light,
color blind should be in our sight,
love should be in our hearts,
so prejudice and hate departs.

Variety is the spice of life,
it shouldn't cause misery and strife.
How boring it would be,
if you looked just like me.
Life is full of differences,
we all have our preferences,
sometimes screwed up
indifferences.

G

Excellent is too pitiful a word for this very wise poem, Grady. I've never understood prejudice or how such people even think. As the Lord says, we "all are of one blood." Amen, brother: I'm putting that message out there with you! ~~Bonnie Q

We adopted a girl who is tri-racial...I often thought that might be the answer to people being prejudiced...every body mix it up...but having our differences makes it interesting...as you pointed out...ever notice how absolutely beautiful those fortuneate enough to be of mixed race parentage are???? My daughter is a knock out...Native American/Hispanic/Polish...

AMEN , my friend. This is a much needed
write! We all talk, breathe, hurt,
bleed, the same. It's what's in our
heart of hearts that counts.
