As seen through the eyes of aTen-Year-Old

I saw the waterfall today, and it was cool.

Full of rocks and swell little skipping stones.

Me and my friends jumped in

the deep end of the pool.

It was real cold and gave us all

the shivers.

We climbed high above the falls

and watched the water

tumble down and splash at

the bottom.

I saw the waterfall today, and it was cool.

As seen through the eyes of a Seventy-Year-Old

I saw the waterfall today, and it was inspirational.

It reminded me of the passage of time,

forever on its journey

over the obstacles of life

on its quest to reach the Ocean.

I gazed in its pool at my reflection

and then at the sparkling,

rippling waters below.

Beneath lie the pebbles of

one’s life.

Each but a memory,

some brighter than others.

And then I gazed to the topmost ledge

and I was grateful for my journey.

And I realized it was only days before

 I would reach the Ocean.

I saw the waterfall today, and it was inspirational.

I love the way you did this; you brought the piece to beautiful closure inviting infinite thoughts of everlasting hope. That's a pretty darn good achievement. Thank you for this offering. Love and peace, Regis.
