One quiet place Is all I need, for me, In the center of a city, or outside, in the country. A place where I can think, or not think, as I choose, a place to reminisce, to conjure up my muse. A place where I can dream, some old dreams, and some new, a place to sum my life up, and sometimes think of you. A place to find a balance, of who I am and who I wanted to be, of where I am and what I wanted to see, of who I've known and who has really known me. A place to try to comprehend what little we humans can, of this thing we call the universe, this isle of castaways, this home of man.

It took me so many years, but I finally found my Quiet Place. It was always inside of me, I just had to find it......Thanks for sharing.

I hear ya..lately I've wanted to be a castaway..lol..actually..seriously..I am quite aware that moments of reflection, peace and quiet are a must for the seeking soul..too bad we're not closer we'd have much to talk about..of course AFTER we left the place of silence..

I feel the same way most of the time. I wonder about myself because I do so enjoy my own company! You really brought across a sense of relaxing in your own space, and you did it skillfully with this well-written poem.
